I LOVE senior portraits! Stephanie and I had a great time going all over downtown Santa Barbara in search of fun urban backgrounds. Here are a few of my favorites from her senior portrait session. I love her hair!

There is something magical about the light in Santa Ynez Valley, I’ve heard it from others, and I’ve experienced it time and again myself. Lane and Marisa’s wedding at the Fess Parker Winery in Santa Ynez Valley was no acception to this mystery. (and neither was their engagement session which resulted in some of our favorite images to date in the hills and fields of grass)
Their wedding was beautiful, with a great ceremony performed by Pastory Ricky from Calvary Chapel Santa Barbara. As the clouds moved in and out through the day we were rewarded with not only amazing light, but some pretty epic backdrops to work with.

It’s always an honor to photograph the wedding of another photographer, and I believe this is our third of five weddings for photographers that we’re doing this year. Not only is it an honor to be chosen by a photographer, but it’s also super exciting and a bit nerve racking… exciting because they want us to push the limits all the way through, nerve racking cause we’re trying to push the limits while still getting our normal solid shots.
Either way, nerve racking or not, we LOVE it, and Jeff and Cindy gave us plenty of time to play around and create some great images for them.
