In preparation for this year’s upcoming holiday season I came across some designs that I absolutely fell in love with and I just can’t wait to share them! So, even though it’s a bit early for the Christmas season, I thought that I would put up a little sneak peak of our custom 2010 holiday photo cards. We have many more that you’ll be able to chose from. But for now, here is one of my favorites.
I recently had the chance to photograph Tim’s personal trainer Erik, his wife Erin and their son Josiah… and oh my gosh! I had so much fun, Josiah was a little cutie and such a ham in front of the camera… and not to mention a trooper! He has just been learning to run and after taking a couple face plants from loosing his footing, he of course cried, but with a little sympathy from mom and dad, he was able to dust himself off and was good to go!
It’s been roughly 4 years now that Cheryl has been the official photographer for the Teddy Bear Cancer Foundation and it has been amazing to see how this wonderful organization has grown over the years. The founder Nikki Katz, and CEO Marni Rozet, have worked selflessly to raise funds in an effort to carry out their mission of supporting families of children with cancer. The main goal of this charity is to ensure that children with cancer receive the undivided comfort of their parents during the treatment and recovery process. Something that is absolutely necessary and incredibly important for getting through such a crisis.
One of their annual events is the Saks and the City fundraiser, hosted by Saks Fifth Avenue in downtown Santa Barbara, guests arrive to enjoy cocktails and hors d’oeuvres that have been donated by local restaurants and caterers; a portion of any purchases made at Saks is donated to the foundation and a live auction is held for biding on various items. One item included a wave-riding adventure with pro surfer Shaun Tomson and all of these donations totaled to raising over $70,00 to benefit Teddy Bear!
Cheryl was honored and blessed to photograph Saks and the City for them and thrilled when Santa Barbara Magazine chose to publish her pictures in the 2010 August/September issue. You’ll find them on page 52 in the RSVP section as well as on her facebook page here.
I’m stoked to have Jade as my rep this year at Bishop Garcia Diego High School. She’s a gorgeous girl, full of life and a natural in front of the camera. She’ll be graduating next year, so technically this session counts as her Junior Portraits, but we’re starting her off early so she can spread the word now through summer about our high school senior portrait photography. Check back towards the end of summer for her 2nd session.
Oh and great job by Christin & Ashley at LunaBella for their beautiful work on Jade’s hair and make up.

And here is a slideshow of her complete session:
We still have room for more senior reps at certain high schools. Email me at cheryl@halbergphotographers.com if you’re interested.
I love taking pictures of the Gomez family year after year, they are super sweet people and I always look forward to their annual family portrait session.
This time around they wanted to incorporate their dogs into the photographs. Which I must confess is always a little intimidating to me. I didn’t grow up with any pets in my family (everyone is allergic) so generally I’m not very good with animals, but these guys did great! Check out my favorites below and for more pictures check out their slideshow.
